Axalta Partners with Paint & Coatings Industry Magazine to Promote Waterborne Coatings Technology in China

Axalta (NYSE: AXTA), a leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, recently showcased its innovative waterborne technologies at the Waterborne Industrial Coatings Technology Training in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. More than 100 trainees attended the seventh-annual program, which was organized by Paint & Coatings Industry (PCI) Magazine and the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China (CIESC).


The purpose of the program was to familiarize new industry engineers with the benefits of waterborne technologies and application processes, while also raising awareness of advancements in sustainable coating solutions. Dr. Yan Fucheng, Product Director of Transportation Coatings at Axalta in China, was a keynote speaker and featured lecturer during the program. He shared insights about advancements and trends in waterborne coatings with program participants.


In particular, Dr. Yan spotlighted Axalta’s innovative Harmonized Coating Technologies™, such as its 3-Wet, 2-Wet Monocoat and Eco-Concept offerings. These environmentally friendly solutions provide light vehicle original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with coating formulations and application systems designed to increase their productivity, save energy and reduce costs. Dr. Yan also hosted a training course about new policies and regulations for waterborne automotive coatings.
